SparePartsTheMovie.com is an independent, fan-built preservation project created to honor the legacy of the real-life Carl Hayden robotics team, whose incredible story inspired the 2015 film Spare Parts.
Our mission is to spotlight the real students — Oscar Vazquez, Lorenzo Santillan, Cristian Arcega, and Luis Aranda — and share their achievement with a new generation of learners, educators, and dreamers.
This site includes a breakdown of the true story, where the students are today, and links to the full movie on legal streaming platforms. We believe their story deserves to be seen, shared, and remembered.
We are not affiliated with Lionsgate, Pantelion Films, the cast, or the production crew. This project is nonprofit, meant for cultural documentation, educational value, and digital preservation.
